Dragon

The mystery concerning dragons in Cabochon may be as old as the world itself. Some Dragonborn clans claim they themselves are the dragons of old; still others claim that the dragons are but ancient transformed dragonborn. Elven imperial scholars theorize that dragons invaded from across the Western Boundary settling in the western Dragonlands.  Berylfolk, reciting their howling myths, claim ancient Arcadian lizardmen harnessed a primordial alchemy transforming their kin into dragonborn and later into the first dragons during their legendary war. Despite these clashing theories, dragons remain a rare threat in Cabochon.

Biological Traits

Resplendent in hues identical to their dragonborn counterparts, Dragons range widely in size from a small dog to a colossal mountain. Nearly all dragons are linked to a form of arcana and are armed with destructive breath varying on their coloration.

During ancient Cabochon history, dragons were common across the world. Nowadays, dragons are mostly confined to the Far West with most commoners dismissing them as just silly myth.
