Solasigh
At the eastern shores, the fey forest regrew in the span of a season, as if it had never been ravaged in the first place, bringing with it a new plant, which began growing along the roads through the forests. The plant spread throughout the territory, popping up to border around villages and towns, as well as hedge in the roads, and along with it came the rumours. The plant, with its glossy, golden-heart shaped leaves and spiked pods was a curse. Or was it a blessing? After all, it had appeared from nowhere.
Disappearances along the roads became less frequent, before halting altogether, allowing travellers and merchants to come and go between villages without fear for the first time in the recorded history of the territory.

Solasigh is a small hedge. It sports golden heart-shaped leaves and grows small, spiked seed pods.

This hedge plant grows exclusively around temperate forests, particularly in areas that have a high concentration of magic in the environment such as the Fey Forest . It is said that the plant keeps fey at bay, possibly even harming any fey who touch it.
Additional Information
Uses, Products & Exploitation
The plant is innocuous and considered a weed in most countries outside of Lumin.
In Lumin , solasigh branches are often bundled and given as housewarming gifts to be hung above the door alongside horseshoes for luck. In addition, the seeds can be ground into a fair substitute for flour.
It is also commonly woven into crowns for celebrations such as weddings, solstice festivals, and, most importantly, the three day Sola's Festival dedicated to the plant and the woman it's named after. There is a long-held belief that solasigh will protect houses and people that bear it from harm at the hands of the fey because it represents an agreement between the fey and Sola Nightingale over 300 years ago.
Conservation Status
Outside of Lumin, Solasigh is considered to be a weed, if not a very prolific one. Only eccentrics keep the hedge-plant in their garden, while most other folks tend to rip it up if it's growing anywhere near their town or property.
Within Lumin, though the branches of this plant are commonly used, great care is taken to not damage the plants beyond recovery. Dying Solasigh plants are considered great cause for alarm as it is widely believed in this country that the plant represents a centuries old pact with the fey that they will not harm any human-folk within the confines of the bordering plants.
