Session One - Market Square Mishap
General Summary
Off of the coast of Valland, the blue dragon, Tyranx, confronts the crew of the Angel Heart for failing to deliver unspecified cargo on time. He threatens the captain of the ship, Ferris, and demands that the boat return in three weeks with the cargo. The Captain says that the Starshine Transport did not travel to the Shade, so no cargo was delivered,
Ferris says the Transport should be making another journey soon and have the requested cargo. Tyranx makes a final threat by Killing a crewman and flying off.
Ecks and Al Vale tracked two members of the Azure Assemblage into Port Elesby. After establishing a stake out at Regeneration, an inn and tavern in The Hatchery neighborhood, the pair trailed the cult members into the market square, where they were spotted and a fight broke out. The cult members, two blue Kobolds, joined two gnolls at the market to confront Eks and Al.
One of the gnolls fired a gun into the crowd and wounded a University Aiobheean student. The chaos resulted
in a handful of people joining Eks and Al in the battle : Cerviel Anoun, Valrick Dapplecloak, Luxanna, and Aislin Mac Gerailt. Next, the same gnoll dumped the contents of an apparent bag of holding on the ground and cast
a spell that formed some of these contents into a construct, which aided the Azure Assemblage cult members in the fight. Eventually, the cult members were defeated (one of the Kobolds escaped) and Valrick rifled through
the rest of the contents scattered on the ground to find: 30gps, 15 sps, a severed human or elven finger, and a
piece of paper with three names written on it: Vespertine, Stormwind, and Collymore.
In an attempt to avoid the authorities, the newly formed "party" agreed to go to The Humble Mind, a local tavern, to discuss what had happened. Ecks and Al stopped off at a bath house first to clean up after the battle before meeting the rest at the tavern.
