The World Tree

The World Tree, sometimes known as the First Tree, the Origin Tree, the God of Plants, or simply "The Tree", is a colossal, possibly metaphorical tree that served as the origin of life. Reverence for the tree is most commonly found among the Fey as well as practitioners of Spirit Magic. It is generally believed that a schism in the ancient Fey led to its destruction, with the resulting Fey Courts each taking a seed that would become the heart of their lands.
It is unclear if the World Tree ever actually existed, with it instead perhaps being a representation of the Origin. Though Castores has suffered considerable damage, there doesn't appear to be any particular sight it was, nor ruins to suggest there was once a great fey civilization not contained within the Courts. Despite this, images of the tree do appear among both the Amukreen and the Dragons.
Modern depictions of the tree vary wildly, with some even incorrectly claiming the Invaders destroyed it. More ancient depictions claim it bore pink leaves and could be seen from anywhere in the world.
