Longreach

One of the oldest Castles in Fremilian, Long Reach is built on a hill overlooking the south-western gap. It is a large, prominent fortress and has plenty of space for it's large garrison and many secondary defences. In the past it was the main defensive position in the south to prevent enemies coming in through the south-western gap.
Being the seat of power in the Summer Plains and having a good view point of the region makes it a valuable asset to the Duchy. Trade from South Armidia tends to pass through or by the Castle and it is often busy with activity.
The Castle is held by the Dubois family.
