The Eternal Rampart
The Eternal Rampart, colloquially known as the Heavensgate, is an enormous wall located to the north of the Irenic Foundation. It was built by the Elven race as a means of protection from the deadly Darkstone dust that threatens the northern lands. The wall is enchanted with powerful magic, making it almost impenetrable.
One of the most notable enchantments on the Eternal Rampart is The Void Enclosure that follows the northern section of the wall. This barrier is said to contain within it a space that simply does not exist and is so incomprehensible that it causes a strain on the mind of anyone who looks at it. That which has gone into it, has never returned. This barrier is in place to prevent the deadly Darkstone dust from spreading into the Irenic Foundation.
The Eternal Rampart is also enchanted with a spell that animates soldiers etched into the wall always keeping watch. These soldiers appear as if they are alive and are able to assault invaders and alert the guards of any intruders.
The Eternal Rampart was designed by the Elven architect, Alaric DawnBringer, who is said to have been a master of both magic and architecture. The wall is not only a means of protection but also a work of art and a testament to the skill and power of the Elven race.
The Eternal Rampart is a formidable barrier that has protected the Irenic Foundation for centuries, and it is considered to be one of the greatest architectural and magical achievements in the Central Domain.
