Wizard

Wizards are the quintessential Magi. The Wizarding College of Moonwall University was among the original colleges that constitute that institution. Wizards study magic in order to understand and utilize the natural currents of energy that flow through Chaia for their own ends. While most humans do not possess the magical ability necessary to bend these currents to their own means, wizards discovered long ago that various incantations and rituals acted as fulcrums which allow a skilled user to accomplish far more than they would otherwise be able to.

Wizards are typically held in high regard, and many who study at the universities of their nations receive lucrative employment in the houses of nobles and use their magical abilities to accomplish any number of tasks.
Some of the other magi, such as sorcerers and bards think wizards are laughable, as they need to do so much work and study in order to achieve the magical abilities that others can wield so easily.
