Four Senu II pilgrims are hired by Delian Colonel Eskin Jivo to track 15 Gurratan sugrans seen passing through the mining town of New Lanvia in hopes of learning more about Consul Akis Blad's intentions. Ultimately, the pilgrims discover that Blad needs a dielectric prism from an old human immigration ship, the Essok VI, in order to develop a cloaking device. The pilgrims play both sides by acquiring and selling the prism to one of Blad's men, but also relaying relevant intel back to Colonel Jivo.
Four Senu II pilgrims take on a mission from Colonel Eskin Jivo of the Delian military to track and follow a group of 15 Gurratan sugrans seen passing through the small mining town of New Lanvia in order to learn more about Gurratan Consul Akis Blad's intentions. The pilgrims find a dead sugran having fallen from the cliffs near Ariel Falls and, using his smarfo, identify the sugrans' target to be a dielectric prism on the Essok VI, an old human immigration vessel that crashed in the Saebian Alps.
The pilgrims hike to and explore the Essok VI, where they encounter Tusiy Gorn, an unwilling squater stricken with erosive thraven disease. She reveals that her captors, exiled members of Omron Company are also on the ship and pose a threat. The pilgrims retrieve the prism from the ship before the Gurratans, but agree to sell it to one of Blad's operatives, Baraz Du'al, after he and his team catch up with the pilgrims at the crash site.
In order to fulfil their original contract with Colonel Jivo, the pilgrims continue to track Du'al following their deal. The Gurratans uknowingly walk into a woserra den, where several of them are killed. The pilgrims offer their help in return for information on Blad's plans. Du'al agrees. While the pilgrims are planning a rescue, they are ambushed by the ex-Omron Company thugs who had overheard the deal made between Du'al and the pilgrims.
Nama suffers a gunshot to the leg, but is dragged to safety by T'lios during the fight. As the ex-Omron Company thugs realize it is a lost fight, the last man begs for mercy only to be brutally decapitated by Nama who had flown into an outrage.
Derax sets a lure for the woserra and Nama is able to dispatch the large creature with a well-aimed headshot, securing the surviving surrans inside it's den.
Ultimately, the pilgrims learn that Blad needs the dilectric prism in order to make a cloaking device in order to conceal the construction and operation of a clandestine black sorium mine in the Saebian Alps. They relay this to Colonel Jivo, while keeping the fact that they sold the prism to Du'al out of their report, thereby playing both sides and getting paid twice.
