(a.k.a. “The Painted Lady”)

Ink and Shadows: The Painted Lady

In the shadowy alleys of Chicago’s Old Town lies the "Painted Lady," an exclusive members-only tattoo parlor catering to the alternative lifestyle and BDSM crowd, shrouded in dark rumors. Its owner and namesake, Athena Goldecre, is a mysterious figure, rarely seen outside the salon and believed to live in seclusion in an apartment in the back. Co-owners Theo and Cathy Bell manage the front gallery, but the true artistry unfolds behind closed doors at night, where Athena and her protégé, Jo Dillon, create body art for their cultish members, drawing from her obscure and mysterious mythical roots of unknown origin. Their secretive transformative sessions are said to blur the lines between pleasure and pain. With her creamy skin, deep hazel eyes, flowing black hair, and mesmerizing full-body artwork resembling flowery, lush vegetation , Athena's enigmatic allure only deepens, drawing the brave and curious into the shadowy depths of her world.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

When Edith reveals her true form, she is a nightmarish, almost alien figure. Tall and lean, with spiky bone spurs protruding from her vertebrae and shoulders, she exudes a powerful and intimidating presence. Her acid-green eyes glow eerily above sharp fangs that extend past her blood-red lips, and her bald head highlights her unsettling features. Every inch of her skin is covered in garish tattoos of withering and dead vegetation, adding to her grotesque allure. Edith’s appearance is a haunting blend of natural beauty and monstrous, otherworldly terror.
