Virdover Academy (VEER-doe-verr AH-cad-eh-me)

The Virdover Academy is a school that specializes in teaching of Arcane Magic exclusively to Nuaira students.
Located in Leithlein, the Academy is a complex of buildings that occupies a small hill overlooking Lake Virdover, the school's namesake.

Structure

The Virdover Academy is organized as a subsidiary branch of the Kingdom of Nuaira and is overseen by a Board of Governors. Two of the three Board members must be accomplished arcane spellcasters, while the third may not have any arcane spellcasting ability and is most frequently a high-ranking officer in the Army of Nuaira.
The Headmaster is elected by the Board of Governors and oversees the Academy and its curriculum in the broad view, while Administrators appointed by the Headmaster oversee each discipline of study and guide the individual faculty members in developing specific curriculum in line with the goals of the Academy.

The Virdover Academy is a place of learning and development, but its roots grew from the blood of The Haphrises War. As such, the faculty and students tend to be reserved in their discussion of their studies with anyone outside the school's walls.

Foreign Relations

The Virdover Institute has no diplomatic ties outside the Kingdom of Nuaira, though it does coordinate with the Court of Whispers in the placement of graduates skilled in divination magic.
This coordination allows the Institute to keep abreast of the developments at The Arcanum Institute and the College of Arcane Arts.
