Mystic Blight
The Mystic Blight is a condition common among magic users in their old age. The stronger the user the stronger the blight. The effects of the blight are different based on race and magical type. The two most common types of blight are elemental blight and primal blight. As you can tell they are tied to the two major natural types of magics. All blights begin with crystallization as small crystals begin to form on parts of the body. The differences are the additional effects in the blights. Elemental causes parts of the body to give off elemental effects. like the flesh being warmer or giving off a slight electrical glow. With Primal it causes some of the bestial features from shifting to stick. Causing the nails to become more claw-like body hair to match their animals or the forming of feathers. Recently some humans have got the crystallization effect from the overexposure to essence during the war or use of runes stones from over the years. With my line of work, I won't be surprised when little crystals start forming on my hand or arm. -Ace Cardia

Mystic blight is believed to be tied to overexposure to the essence and other magical forces. Though the effects either take extremely high exposure or old age for natural resistance to go down. Though recently with the common use of rune stones it has been found in some humans and beast races.

Symptoms
Crystallization
The formation of small crystals upon the skin. These crystal do not cause pain as they tend to grow rather slow allowing for the body to adapt. Though it is rather itchy around the area these crystals form. They also tend to glow when the user uses magic.Elemental Taint
Elemental Taint is when an aspect of ones primary element begins to affect their body. This can cause them to give off light elemental power or even going full-on with their element. Ex. Fire users temperatures run high and can even begin to let out flames without trying.
