Then there's Calista, our 9-year-old bundle of energy, whose heart belongs to animals, especially reptiles. Our home wouldn't be complete without our pet snake, Basil, who shares her passion for all things scaly and slithery.
From a young age, I was captivated by the inner workings of the world around me. Toys and appliances never stood a chance when I was around, as I'd gleefully dismantle them to understand their secrets. It was no surprise that I chose to study civil engineering in college. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working on some remarkable projects, but one holds a special place in my heart: a bridge I designed and oversaw the construction of. It's a testament to my fascination with the way things work and my desire to leave a lasting impact on the world.
In my free time, I've developed a passion for chess, a game of strategy and contemplation. Reading is another love of mine, particularly books on history and philosophy, which allow me to explore the depths of human understanding. I'm also an avid cook, and my family's favourite dish is empanadas, a traditional Colombian delicacy I prepare with love.
Now, a little quirk about me is that I'm incredibly punctual. Being late makes me anxious, and I always strive to ensure that everything is just right. I guess you could say that I'm a bit of a perfectionist, but it's all in pursuit of making sure things run smoothly, whether it's a complex engineering project or a simple family dinner.
