Mark Ingles

Hey there, I'm Officer Mark Ingles, but folks around here usually just call me Mark. I've spent a good chunk of my life as a law enforcement officer here in New Norfolk, and I've seen it all. From the bizarre to the heartwarming, this job keeps me on my toes every single day.   My journey into law enforcement isn't a typical one. I grew up in a family of artists, and for a while, I thought I'd follow in their footsteps. I can appreciate a beautiful piece of art as much as the next person, and you might catch me spending my off-duty hours sketching or visiting local galleries. There's something about the colours and shapes that brings a sense of balance to the chaos of my job.   But life has a way of leading us down unexpected paths. I realised early on that my true passion lay in protecting and serving this community. There's nothing quite like that feeling of making a positive impact, of bringing justice to those who need it most.   When I'm not patrolling the streets, I'm an avid cyclist. There's nothing like the rush of the wind against my face as I pedal through the beautiful Tasmanian countryside. It's my way of staying fit and clear-headed, and it's also a reminder of the freedom that this job allows me to protect.   I take my health seriously, both physically and mentally. You might find me at the local yoga studio, where the serene atmosphere helps me unwind and find inner peace. It's a practice that keeps me grounded and ready to face the challenges of each day.   Family is everything to me. My partner, Michelle, is a dedicated teacher at the local school, and together we have two incredible kids who keep us busy with their boundless energy and curiosity. Our home is filled with laughter, the smell of home-cooked meals, and the occasional friendly debate about whose turn it is to do the dishes.   My life might seem like a juggling act, balancing the responsibilities of a demanding job with my love for art, cycling, and family. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Each day is a new adventure, a chance to make a difference, and that's what keeps me going, serving the people of New Norfolk with unwavering dedication.
