The Eternal Kingdom of Dàhé
Beyond the Great Serpent Mountains and the unyielding bulwark of the Sentinel Wall lies the Eternal Kingdom of Dàhé, green fields and lush pastures. The aptly named realm of Jade is a place of peace and calm that is rare to see on Concordia. The people of Dàhé live primarily in the Four Cities of Zhenjiang, Okokawa, Xiangling and Shinhoro. In these cities, all live lavish and full lives under their magistrates, powerful spellcasters, and expert administrators that have ruled over Dàhé since the death of the Dragon Empress of Heritan during the Falradian Conquest of Heritan.
The Council of Magistrates established the Kingdom of Dàhé during the Falradian Conquest, and in the year 20000, Dàhé was the only refuge against the war machine of the Empire. Defended by the Great Serpent Mountains and the Sentinel Wall carved into and through the mountains, the Kingdom withstood assault after assault by Falradia.
During the Collapse when Aron, the God of Life and Death, struck down a great storm of meteors that sundered the earth and ruined the Empire, much of Heritan was damaged by the meteor storm; however, the Kingdom of Dàhé was left near unscathed, only a scattered handful of the Falradians remained on Heritan, these remnants withdrew and would become known as the Forsaken.
In the years that followed, Dàhé prospered. They established the Jade Legions, a force that would guard the Sentinel Wall. Thousands of soldiers and their families moved into the mountains and the Wall living in villages and towns carved into hills and built around the Dàhé side of the Wall.
Attacks on the Wall are infrequent as the only other nation on Heritan was the Khanate of Róngyào, who, jealous of the wealth of Dàhé, have forever tried in vain to breach the Wall and plunder the wealth for their people.
Despite the efforts of Róngyào and its, at times, almost desolate population, the Eternal Kingdom of Dàhé only continued to prosper and thrive thanks to guidance from the Magistrates and the protection of the Sentinel Wall and the Jade Legions that guard it.
The greatest victory is that which requires no battle.
