Wild Dog Clan

Formerly ruled by the ruthless Masri Family, the Wild Dog Clan is known for it's history of raiding and banditry. The most accepted tale is that the Masri's were a married bandit duo that went by the moniker "the Wild Dogs", wishing to become the most infamous bandits in the Empire the two launched a raid on Emperor Haroun al-Sader, the grandfather of Emperor Tariq al-Sader. Though unsuccessful the Emperor was said to have been impressed by the duo's skill and tenacity and offered the two a pardon for their crimes in exchange for them taking control over security along the Old Road. This led to the creation of Wild Dog Clan which established themselves on the Old Road, the Clan oversees all trade that passes along the road, insuring that nothing or nobody slips past without the Clan knowing about it. They were an extremely loyal clan, always eager to carry out orders from the Imperial Family. They were often relied on to be the first soldiers on the field when the Empire went to war against the north. Their soldiers were renowned as deadly raiders that are usually clad with light equipment to allow them more speed and agility. But when the Great Lord Talal Masri was slain in duel by the at the time Ser Aksal Veli due to Masri's act of brutality by attempting to slay a messenger under parley. With Masri's death Veli succeeded him as Great Lord due to the Wild Dog custom of Rule of Might. With the new Great Lord's rise to power many changes came to the Clan as their ways of banditry and extortion was put to an end and the Clan took up a close relationship with the Order of the Burning Blade.
