Adelaide enables the Adventure Club to escape with a Shadow Portal. The group arrive in the ruins of Onyxburg. They do not have time to investigate and return to Aelswith in Taal's Horn, via the bridge of Shadows. That night Aelswith tries to cure the girl who unbeknownst to the group was deeply infected with Morbus blight. Aelswith is forced to kill the girl when she is attacked but is inflected with Malichor.
Accompanied by Aelswith, the Adventure Club travel to the Tomb of Morbus, under Mount Morbus in the Faewylds. They descend into the tomb and realise that Aelswith is infected with Blight. The Herald ambushes them and kills Aelswith, making her the final sacrifice to bring Morbus back. Aelswith's infected body is consumed by the Blight and become the Avatar of Morbus.
