Founding of the first elven city, Tal'nova the eternal city.
In ancient history, the Myconid worshipped a god of life and death, whose name is lost to us. They believed that their life came from the death of others. It was part of their religious rite of fertility to sacrifice people from other races. The Myconids built a vast empire across southern Cordas and conquered many other peoples. However, following decades of droughts and bad harvests and the deforestation of their homeland, the Myconids numbers began to decline. In response, the Myconids began to sacrifice more and more people and other living beings. It is said their streets ran red with the blood of millions but it did not help. Then one day the Myconids captured an elven princess. Believing her sacrifice would be pleasing to their god, the Myconids filled the elven princess with spores and bathed her in the rancid blood of the millions they'd killed. As she was submerged the princess cast a powerful curse on Myconid people. As soon as the princess was fully submerged in the blood the sky went dark and it finally began to rain. The Myconids began to rejoice but then their cheers turned into screens as blight and rot spread across their mushroom bodies. Corpses emerged from the blood cauldrons across their great city and began to feast upon the living. Finally, the elven princess, Princess Morbus emerged, transformed and empowered.
