"And what if she's on his side?"
"Then we're all dead! But we can't worry about that - we have to trust the cage did its job well enough these past eons. Be brave - this is what we've trained for! What she prepared us for! And remember - if he really knew where she was, he wouldn't be using the Infernal Choir. He's trying to get a lock on her - trying to force a resonation with her essence woven into the wards, and let him get a read on her location. So START. THE. COUNTER. CHANT. It's our only hope!"

Obedience: Heat up metal chains, upon which you have inscribed a heartfelt oath to save others from suffering and pain, until scalding and then bind yourself with them, searing your bare flesh. Do not remove the chains for an hour, and endure the pain with the knowledge that there are those out in the world whose suffering is so much deeper than even this. Once the chains are removed, offer up a prayer to The Chained Lady asking for the power to shoulder all the suffering in the world for the sake of protecting others.
Effect: When an allied creature within line of sight would take enough damage to fall unconscious or die, you may take the damage for them that they would have taken to keep them conscious or alive. You CAN kill yourself this way. You are treated as having DR 5/- against damage taken this way(Or resistance 5, where appropriate).

Warmth and Succor to all. Give healing and comfort to those who require it, no matter their crimes or origins. Imprisonment shall not equal torture.

Inspire the masses. Inspire others to righteous action and use the chain as symbol of your message. The first battle to be won is one of hearts and minds.

Break the chain of suffering. Stand against all who inflict suffering onto others and turn their evils back upon them that they may know the pain they spread.

Become the righteous warden. Shackle the guilty and break the shackles of the innocent at every turn. Let imprisonment be your tool to redeem the hearts of the guilty.

Light up the darkest pits. Dive into the darkest depths and clease them of the evils that root there - let no dungeon, prison, or cave that hides darkness go unpurified.

History

As the creation of the lord of the nine in such ancient times before the gods established The Divine Gate and left the material plane, The Chained Lady was created originally to serve as a hideous general in the armies of the Lord of the Nine's Devil Legions, a Demigoddess who would serve as an invincible shock trooper and force commander in his eternal battles against his divine rivals.
Left behind and abandoned with the establishment of the Divine Gate, the Chained Lady soon fell into a languid torpor with the loss of her power source and her connection to the Lord of the Nine, and over eons of languishing in an underground cavern eventually became entombed as her mind fragmented, her true and evil nature now at odds with a brighter and more benevolent personality. Having sustained a grievous wound during the final days before her abandonment, she lies imprisoned beneath the earth, yet to fully recover, in a prison forged by primitive cultures that have discovered her titanic, wounded body over the eons and built a cage for her...whether out of a desire to lock her away, or perhaps being perversely influence by the chained lady herself.
Now she dwells in a prison of her own design, having reached some minor apotheosis in her eons in her prison, reaching out to mortals in her moments of clarity when her goodly side can overcome her devilish one to impart her truths unto them...and sometimes, warping the minds of others as her more devilish side takes root.
