The Uttercold Nucleus
The Divine Planar Prison of Círzithara, the Mother of Uttercold
Geography
The only geography within the Uttercold Heartlands is unending seas of ice, snow, and jagged spires of ice combined with swirling mists of Uttercold so freezing that a living creature will snap freeze and die in under a few seconds' time. All life here is extinguished almost immediately, and the terrain is jagged, hilly, and defined by its massive snowdrifts, jagged spires of ice, and swirling mists of Uttercold. Any and all water is is almost immediately frozen into ice immediately on contact with the air here, and all the lakes and rivers are nothing but fields of ice covered by snow and Uttercold mists.
If one could survive here, the natural beauty of the plane is tremendous, and it is a breathtaking sight to behold, but the tragedy of its very nature prevents most visitors from coming here without being frozen to death and raised automatically as an Uttercold undead loyal to the plane's Divine Mistress, Círzithara, The Gloomjoy Lady, a tragic Goddess who is locked in this plane and doomed to never meet another living soul due to her nature as the origin of all Uttercold in the Planescape...sealed away by her father Gregaia, Lord of the Wild for being a danger to all life and unlife, she drearily sits within her frozen citadel at the plane's heart, directing her followers and watching over them with compassion as they are her only contact with the outside world.
Fauna & Flora
All life here is frozen down to the soul, and soon raised as freezing undead versions of themselves. Even the trees, plants, and animals here are Uttercold undead versions of themselves...doomed to an eternity of freezing purgatory.
Natural Resources
There are no natural resources in The Uttercold Heartlands besides the plentiful and infamously deadly and valuable Uttercold. All other resources have been frozen and destroyed due to the extreme inhospitable nature of the environment.
