The Major Gods of Ea refuse to get actively involved in the conflict to let mortals decide their own destinies, but nonetheless give subtle aid to the surface races and begin to raise divine champions to assist them.

Though they are loathe to interfere in the lives of mortals and forcibly decide their destinies, the Major Gods give their aid in a small way to the races of Ea by choosing and empowering divine champions as well as subtly influencing them to help them resist the Mindwash Tower. This is all the aid they can bring themselves to give, and decide that for better or worse, Mortal life must decide its own fate from there even if it leads to a Divine War.
