The Scalequeen launches a doomed attempt to conquer the Ancient Dragons and, after meeting the Dragon Emperor who rules them, is beaten within an inch of her life despite her divinity and left to flee in abject terror as the surface races realize her fallibility.

The Scalequeen attempts to lead the High Lamia on a conquest against the Ancient Dragons who had, until now, stayed pleasantly neutral in the world's affairs, but is beaten bloody and ragged by The Dragon Emperor despite her divinity, who lets her flee out of contempt, disdain, and purely kingly arrogance only a dragon could possess. Stripped of her supposed invincibility, the God-Queen of the Lamia flees in humiliation from the wrath of the Ancient Dragons.
