Battles & Atrocities

Althanas leads several battles across the continent using strategic and tactical abilities to battle Dragons, and takes overs several strongholds of theirs. A quick study, he learns several of their ancient rituals with he uses to command dead and undead armies. Althanas commits a large number of atrocities against Dragonkind to ensure that they will not encroach, including design and creation of Dragon Orbs, to "control the beasts in mind, body and spirit". These orbs are used to root out and destroy the creatures across the "lower lands".

Separation (0 FP / 2589 DA)

Church of Five

Althanas is rumored to discover Celestial beings and discuss the entrance into this world, forming the "Church of Five" pact

Government

Various battles create the power structure of Human overland design. Other creatures allowed to keep their lands, with a few exceptions (Buthlana claims part of Corinthian East, still in dispute) (Notw: Claimed area is not controlled by Crown...so technically, this is likely still Buthlana)

Great Houses

Althanas establishes the 10 great Human houses to overrule Corinthia on 6/15/2590. These houses either were present during great battles, or were present during the knowledge gain, to ensure that the land is safe, but also to ensure that their silence is locked in. Each house allowed to assign their leader from the family. There was rumored to be 12 houses, but only 10 appear in any official records. House Jorna and DeSeth are the ones that claim contention.

Althanas participates in Moltaician councils to establish rules of engagement for human countries as well as other races. Humans bond quickly, other races defend their original lands. Things do not go well for previously Draconic aligned races (Orc, Goblins, other darklings). Giants, staying neutral during these battles fare better, and the medium bipeds come out the best, as they claim to have held the most risk.

Claims of evil and demon pacts (2901 PK)

The Great Demon-caller Purge Due to his longevity, Althanas is accused of being a demon during Buthlanese humans and elves challenge Corinthian rule in the eastern lands where the King's power seems weak. Althanas holds the lands easily with troops, stopping the uprising. Initially responding by removing naysayers without consideration for their status, Johnathan Cespuren steps in to negotiate with the assistance of House Kelstaff to broker a discussion. Althanas discloses that the ruler of the land benefits from the bounty of the land, and his life is extended as long as the land provides for him; he's not aware how long he will persist.

Buthlana Challenge (2915 PK)

Moltacian Challenge (2916 PK)

Moltac attempts to remove Corinthian rule, and discovers the secret of Corinthian rule - all of their land movements are detected and easily rebuffed. A few minor border skirmishes exist, but the country is too strong to be attacked. Moltac instead returns to its own power building strategy over Buthlana and Drina.

Assassination and rebirth (3001PK)

Althanas is assassinated, however, he leverages the Church of Five to replace his life for a price. The Celestials agree to return him to his seat of power but he must serve the Churches from this point forward, ensuring that there will always be a Church and Defender inside the Great Halls. (This becomes a blessing and curse in later days)   After his rebirth, Althanas decrees that the Church of Five must be established in every city with more than 10,000 people. A reshuffling of citizens is done to minimize the effect, but with a Celestial housed in the Great Halls, it is quickly discovered and stopped. Althanans "locks" the Celestial in the castle walls.

500 year anniversary (3089 PK)

Great Celebration of the rule of the King. A time of great positive change

Departure (3488PK)

After years of stability and discovery, Althanas departs Corinthia (3089 PK), leaving the country in the hands of his son Jodan, and House Kelstaff as the Second. His final decree is that True Kings of Corinthia pass on their might to True Children, and leave them to rule as they were taught. A second decree is issued, in secret to Johnathan Cespuren that the Masters of Protocol have a recourse if needed to remove a True Child as long as there are other True Children in place to take the throne. Only they know the secret to do so, and if ever done, the Crown and Scepter will go to Masters for 3 days, to be given to the subsequent ruler. It is rumored that if this happens and no following ruler exists, Corinthian Power will return to the Land.

Retirement

Althanas retires off continent, in an undisclosed location. It is rumored that his location was never discovered and it is not documented.

Children

The child of Sarnet (Janice Sarnet Gerard ) was the most intelligent, and Fiona Ardine's child (Helena Ardine ) excelled in beauty. But it was the Kelstaff child (Jodan Kelstaff Gerard ) that would pick up the mantle of government and become the next King of the country.
