Mars

After Earth couldn't hold humanity anymore, the closest planet was Mars. It was therefore quickly colonized and terraformed. This easily accomplished by nuking both poles. From here out the humans planned their Great Expanse where they would colonize the whole multiverse. This being the closest habitable planet to their origin, it still holds a very important role within the SOSA.
Most corporations have their HQ or origin on mars. Like Lightning Power Ltd. and Robert Space Industries.
