Godswalk

Godswalk is a district in Coromare, the capital city of the Kingdom of Litticala.
The district is located on the northern bank of the River Cando, and serves as the spiritual heart of Coromare. It is notable for being the only riverside district without a bridge.

Demographics

Godswalk is home to many middle-class families and artisans who work in nearby Newmarket. Priests and ascetics typically live near or within the temple or shrine they are devoted to.

Infrastructure

Godswalk is notable as the only riverside district without a bridge across the River Cando. The riverbank is lined with shrines to Lady Cando, providing little space for any other structures. Unwilling to risk the anger of the river spirit or her followers, the residents of Godswalk go without a bridge of their own, and instead travel to Whitebridge or Dockside to reach the south side of the city.

Architecture

The architecture of Godswalk is an exercise in contrast. In a single street one might pass a gilded Celestial temple, a shrine to Lady Cando built from driftwood, and a simple home of whitewashed cob.
