Shadowfell

The Shadowfell is one of the three youngest planes in existence. It was crafted by the distant descendants of the Gods of the Fore, bearing none of their original handiwork. The Materium is considered a "cursed" plane, having been created outside of the Purgoran Shield itself. It shares this distinction with its sibling planes: the Feywild and the Materium. All three planes are incredibly complex due to the refined nature of their creation. All elemental domains are represented by the triplets, and thousands of diverse inhabitants fill their dials. The Shadowfell is a dark and dreary reflection of the Materium as it was before Lightfall. Many of the same ruins and monuments are scattered across its surface, but they are warped in a dark, foreboding manner. Disparate kingdoms and fiefdoms fill the Shadowfell, but none of them have any true reach beyond their walls. The darkness allows for none to tame it.
