Zarek was a young blacksmith that Dysis met in Evermoore, he instantly fell for her and agreed to wait for her while she dealt with her own feelings for someone else. Zarek finally moved Dysis by his patience and she slept with him getting pregnant with their first child Iris, after that Zarek agreed to come with her to Manmoth and then allowed Kadoh to embrace him into the family. Zarek lived a loving and fulfilling life with Dysis, all of the family liked him even Kadoh. When Dysis's father Roman showed back up later on Zarek was kidnapped and killed by Roman in order to show dominance over his daughter.

Zarek and Dysis met in Evermoore where he was a blacksmith, she was trying to get away from her feelings for Kadoh and fell for the simple man. They had four children together before Dysis's father killed Zarek to get back at Dysis. It took Dysis time to get over his death but she was able to do so for her children and move on.
