Hemig

Hemig was a Geit bartender and proprieter of the Gargling Ghillie on Aspidie in the town of Graham's Port. His establishment catered to merchants and hopeful Corsairs visiting the town en route to Lion City.
Originally hailing from Jotun's south sea and a relation of Jorund Brighthoof, Hemig found his people's simpering to the Koan Empire distasteful and set off to make a name for himself on his own.
He joined Jim Kestrel's crew, The Dark Home, where he helped Anh Edonia sinki the first Koan dreadnaught. He also met the love of his life there, a Homyn named Clara . After the war, the two settled down in Aspidie and had a duaghter together named Astrid.
Hemig eventually reconciled with Jorund and even used his connections to help Astrid's friend and aspiring corsair, Blaine Antilles, get a nomination into the order. Jorund later became Blaine's patron when he earned his compass.
The Gargling Ghillie played host to the founding Party members' first meeting, an event whose auspicity went largely unnoticed at the time. When Prince Lucas set off a hyperion bomb on Aspidie, the Party redirected a ship helping with the evacuation at Graham's Port to save Jin Bei's life. Hemig and Clara stayed behind to help others evacuate, and never made it off the moon.
