Spring

Spring is a moon located in Io's West Orbit known for its giant flowers and emerald hills. Every breath of air on spring is pregnant with the scent of pollen and flowers, and plants grown in Spring's soil bloom into preternaturally vibrant bouquets and sweet fruits. Along with the other seasonal moons--Summer, Autumn, and Winter--Spring was the first to moon to be annexed by the Homyn Kingdom.

The moon is home to two native vassal races--the plant-like and peaceful Spriggansand a sentient race of warlike bears called the Ursa. Its longevity in the Homyn Kingdom makes it a safe destination amongst Io's moons for the most part. However, the northern shores of the moon's major body of water--the Oestra Sea--are controlled by ursan separatist pirates known as the beekeepers who attack unsuspecting ships with their war bees.

Travelers to Spring often come to engage in trade for its beautiful and abundant plant life, or as tourists to witness one of the many festivals marking blooming seasons that occur in its capitol city on the southern edge of the Oestra Sea, April. Spring has also orbited near Source for several centuries, making it one of two primary points of ingress and egress to the artificial planet from Homyn territory, along with the moon, Topaz.
