Taelafel
"They will descend as if from the heavens unto the mortal world. They shall be wreathed in celestial glory, but their words shall be poison. Thou shalt know them as decievers-- Fallen Ones." -Zaphkiel 10:7, Book of RadianceAcitern is a unique place in Covenant. Instead of being dominated by gods, the people follow the Church of the Light, which reveres celestials as paragons of all that is good. It is, perhaps, only fitting that their leader is not a mortal being, but an angel. This is Taelafel, Celestial Herald of the Church of the Light.
Physical Description
Body Features
As an angel, is a creature of unearthly beauty. Her face is perfect and unblemished, and her eyes are a deep green and have an almost hypnotic quality that can cause awe or fear in whoever looks upon them. Her silken hair is a wavy and brown and goes down to where her wings meet her back.
Her most obvious feature is her majestic, feathery wings. Her feathers are of a white so pure they almost seem to glow in the light. She seems to stand almost unnaturally straight in a way that seems to project authority that almost seems to defy her obvious sensuality.
Apparel & Accessories
Taelafel is generally only seen in the same clothing. These are a set of vestments that are sometimes seen as surprisingly immodest for a being of such purity. She also wears a collection of loose golden charm bracelets that have a surprising order to them, despite the fact that they should seem a chaotic tangle.
While she does not seem to carry weapons, she has been seen to summon them if necessary. With a heavenly light, she has been known to conjure a longsword, longbow, or lasso, ornately decorated with gold in an obviously heavenly style. As she rarely needs to defend herself, these weapons are usually conjured to slay heathenous prisoners, instead.

Personal history
According to Taelafel, herself, she was born in the heavens of pure goodness and light. She then spent much of her eternal life serving her superiors, working to slay wicked demons and ensure the innocents of the multiverse are spared from evil and embrace the light.
Eventually, from her place in the heavens, she saw that the Church of the Light needed her after the disappearance of the Book of Radiance. She chose to descend from the heavens in much the same way as the herald who brought the book in the first place. Thus she chose the same place, the Cathedral of the First Light in Santania.
She announced to the awed onlookers that she was there to guide them. They then declared her their new celestial herald, the ruler of their church. Ever since, she has served as their unquestioned guide and leader-- a position she continues to fill even to this day.
Her position has been complicated by the arrival of Peristeri. She claimed he is a fallen deceiver, summoned from the Abyss by a well-meaning, but misguided mage. According to her, he betrayed and slew his summoner. Then, he went to Pranish to lead them astray. In response, she has called a crusade against the Pranishan heretics.
