Obelisk Empire
The Obelisk Empire was the defining force of the Henge Era. The empire began as a radical collective of fundamentalists who resisted the rise of the economic power of secularist organizations near the end of the Chronicler's Era, over 5000 years before the Modern Era. As the era's namesake, their primary objective was to restore ancient religious traditions, especially the worship of stone henges and the rites surrounding them.
The empire eventually became the largest single political entity in Craedock, beginning in Entrophion, and conquering almost all of Entrophion, the Acronian Sea, and parts of both Poslool and Unitia.
The empire is viewed as typically malevolent, often raising slave armies and using them to spread their territory to new lands. They also blockaded the World Synod of Craedock, a regular spiritual congregation used to update the world religion, in order to further control aspects of the world's religion. Their nefarious tactics allowed the Empire a reign of about 2000 years, before it was overthrown by a serious of various uprisings, and the revolutionary leaders were dubbed the Kings and Queens of the new Royal Era.
