Craedock

Craedock is the world. It is dominated by a high water to land ratio and intrinsic sailing culture. Many societies base their customs in lore and superstition, and magic is utilized in the hands of those skilled or gifted enough to control it. The rise and fall of various empires have shaped the lands throughout the eons, and mythical monsters and beasts flood the prose of bard songs and fairy tales. Gunpowder is the most advanced technology of the world, and is used by only the most powerful combatants such as kings' guards and imperial navies. More common are swords and crossbows on foot, or ballistas aboard large vessels. The world year cycles through 8 months, each 30 days in length, and is divided into four seasons. The predominant religion is the Duotheism: The God and the Goddess watch over the cosmos with the aid of 3 Archangels and 8 Grandangels. The most recent world shaping event was the Fall of the Elder Stone, a meteorite strike which brought forth a decade long winter and bore the "Third God," Thellkaeon.
