Spring Equinox
It is said that after Hartzonell gave his children domain over their planes that Phaedra grew sorrowful; her children off on their own to care for their wards. Seeing this Hartzonell decided to gather their family once a year during the Spring Equinox, allowing all the divine beings to mingle and share their stories, but most of all bringing great joy to his wife. Joy that would spill over onto the material plane and cause nature to flourish, farmers’ crops to grow, trees and flowers to bloom. It is marked as a time of rebirth and with so many divine beings gathered together, mischief always seems to ensue.
In keeping with tradition, the spring festivals are sometimes called the Festival of the Bards, as, like the gods and angels, many folk come together to tell their stories. The tellers of tales are revered most during this time, and, of course, jokesters, pranksters, and jesters perform their duties fervently, as Aubi brings in the warning winds.
Families pass their histories down to their children, epitaphs of old heroes are re-proclaimed in their memory, and priests relay the epics of the divine family. Plays and concerts are common.
