Ender Dragon Character in Crafting New Lives | World Anvil

Ender Dragon

Diemmo (a.k.a. Ender's Dragon)

A gargantuan ancient dragon, with 100 feet long body and a tail just as long.   The Ender Dragon has deep purple scales, almost black if not for the purple sheen that catches the light. This massive dragon is allied with the Ender Lord, a long time of training together and practically growing up together leads them to have a deep connection. The Ender Lord is the only being ever allowed to ride a dragon; all other instances were either unwillingly or fictional.   The Ender Dragon's true name is Diemmo of End, but next to no one knows this.   The Ender Dragon has inhabited the End for all its life beyond its inception from The Beyond, as all dragons and original life did form from The Beyond by The Code. Despite this isolation from the other realms, he has always had a way to contact the other dragons. He is quite poor about reaching out to the other dragons, but in the early years, they all communicated constantly.   Since Foolish's neglect and dismissal of the End and its inhabitants, Diemmo has held a long grudge against him, leading to their realm's isolation from the other dimensions. This isolation has led to an ability to focus on their own community's improvement, but over the centuries resources have steadily dwindled. The technological and magical advancement is something Diemmo prides over, and doesn't wish to share with the other realms due to their rejection of them and their community.   Diemmo himself is the only living dragon of the End, but finds great strength from his people and his small circle of trusted allies. Overall a neutral being, he is the Supreme Mediator, able to solve the most divisive disagreements and find a common ground when he looks to. If he finds a side in the argument he agrees with, he will still advocate for a common ground but will admit his perspective and bias towards a side; this instance, however, is immensely rare, as most arguments are not interesting to him or relevant.   When the Glitch came into being, Diemmo had a premonition something in the Code was shifting and quickly spurred his community into action when it became apparent, joining in the efforts to contain it himself until it was staved off and trapped. Because of the Ender Realm's isolation from the other dimensions, he is currently unaware of the problems other dimensions face because of the Glitch; even if he did know what was happening, he would likely leave the other realms to come to their own solutions.   Inspired by the connection between the Ender Lord and the Ender Dragon, a few select ender beings have constructed mechanical flying creatures to mimic the ability to fly and fight. The Riders are the highest form of the Ender Guard, and train extensively to bond with their creatures, maintain their creatures' forms, and maintain their own.   Diemmo is a being who highly focuses on honor. Whatever you do, you should be proud of it, and if what you do ends up dishonorable, then you should make amends. Not attempt to make amends, or say you will, but actually make amends.   Diemmo is a highly intelligent and immensely magical creature, able to hold a mortal form if he so desires but often doesn't see the need to do so. When he transforms into a mortal form, he is an ender being who seems to be taller and broader than most ender beings, and acts as a draconic sorcerer. Sometimes he sits in on council meetings, as the public is fully encouraged to do, and surveys what members are acting in the interest of the community versus themselves. He is thorough and almost ruthless in his ability to read others, which is certainly aided by his telepathic ability.
