Dwarven, Hill - Dusterdorim

Dusterdorim, commonly known as Hill Dwarven, is the most accessible--both culturally and linguistically--of the three derivative languages of Arenundim. After the Sundering of the Dwarves, Feldor of Brumador opened up Hill Dwarven culture to the outside world, especially Humans, Wood Elves, Natyr, Gear Gnomes and Hearth Halflings, a cultural cross-pollination which also affected their languages. Softer and more vowel heavy than Tuzutainim, Hill Dwarven exhibits a distinctive drawl and slowness which many associate with the more peaceful natures than their cousins. Longer a's and o's matched with rolled r's and indistinct consonants are the phonetic hallmark of Dusterdorim.   In the tradition of Feldor, Hill Dwarven still maintains Koraxicon as its script, although it has adopted some elements of the Hycin Alphabet.
