Dwarven, Mountain - Tuzutainim

Tuzutainim, the ancestral language of the Mountain Dwarves, has remained the most true to Arenundim since the Sundering of the Dwarves, when Koraxir III, Mountain Father closed the gates of Khad Korax and the other Khads to the outside world for what would be nearly a millennium of complete isolation. However, it is distinct enough from Arenundim that non-Mountain Dwarves have trouble understanding it fully. It is much more guttural and harsh than Dusterdorim, with crunched r's, clipped vowels, and grinding consonants. The High Elven linguist Beriliam Sha'nav once famously said, "Tuzutainim sounds as like just what the Mountain Dwarves do best: smashing rocks."   Mountain Dwarven evinces the most fidelity to the original Koraxicon of any of the Dwarven languages, and has strict rules on how it is written or carved.
