Mirgash

It is a matter of debate amongst the Taxachroniclers of the Acadeum whether or not the Mirgash should be classified as Humans at all at this point. They have bonded themselves so fully and irreversibly to the infernal powers and modified their genes so thoroughly through the use of Bodron that they certainly barely resemble their Eovoresh ancestors. Additionally, there are hardly enough of them left on Creacia to constitute an entire ethnicity: nearly wiped out during and after the Second Ruination as the main aggressors of the worldwide conflict, it is thought that there are only several hundred left, most of which are either in still in Urda--their traditional homeland--or moved into exile in Hett. Unlike any other Human people, they are not tolerated in any settlement outside of those two lands, and would be killed on sight throughout much of the world, much like a Drow or full-blood Orc. However, through the centuries they have become masters of disguise, both mundane and arcane, and it is believed there are more of them hidden in the Centerlands, some in positions of great power.    Their history is one associated with stories of great villainy in every goodly people of the Centerlands, some perhaps apocryphal: traitors during the First Ruination, joining Krossh and the Horde Orcs in the invasion of all Creacia; tricksters who deceived the Hycins and the Keltans to reach for too much power with Soulveins, precipitating vast calamities; and the power-crazed people who waked the Four Fiends, released the Tieflings from their outerplanar bondage, and unleashed the Second Ruination on the world. Many scholars--with scant factual support, I might add--argue that the Mirgash are the children of the Nightqueen herself; although they have indeed at times worshipped the planet as their goddess, it is more likely that they are descended from the Elves, as are all Humans, but corrupted by contact with the planes of the AbyssAbbadon, and Hell early after the The Disjunction of Volition  Not much is known of the current state of the Mirgash, but they appear and behave much the same as they did during the Second Ruination: completely hairless, with blue-veined bone white skin that makes a Koth look tan, black eyes, their faces often covered in ritual scarification or tattoos, and almost always with black paint on their otherwise bloodless lips; and obsessed with power, fearless of pain, and devoid of empathy. All Mirgash have mysterious powers, similar to that of Sorcerers, derived from their bonded plane. It is said that the price they must pay for these powers is what twists them into the creatures of pure calculated malice that most of the world knows. A Mirga's build can vary greatly, but tends to be either emaciated or morbidly obese, depending on what power they've bonded. There is very little difference between male and female to the point where there might not be biological sexes at all, and certainly no distinguishable genders. It is surmised that they are all asexual and infertile, somehow creating offspring using bodron and outsider magic, or perhaps even somehow taking place on the Nightqueen itself. Throughout history, however, the Mirgash have bred with other Humans and even Elves (especially the Drow), and therefore the mark of the Mirgash, as it is called--huge black pupils with very little white cornea showing, if any at all--is rare but not extinct (one of the heirs of Voric the Great married a Mirgash, and thus all the Priestkings of the Voran Empire and current Voranor show evidence of the mark).    Dispersed now, most pureblood Mirgash still speak Urdan, a form of Infernal, and speak Eovoresh with a heavy accent, which they often disguise through magical means.
