Son of Ballard, Duke of Erkenbert and Duchess Nanith Tarnuval, brother of Tanith Erkenbert. Inheriting the best from his parents, Kastor is life loving and humorous. Although recognized in combat, he has little taste for war. In his youth, he became Harduin Aldarich's squire, and later took Albuin Aldarich as his own squire. He makes quick friends with everyone and is not too strict with his lovers. In RY 830, he and the squire Ferdinand were sent off to find Lief Lindeman Tarnuval. It is unknown if he ever achieved his goal. Acording to the now exalted Albuin, Kastor was sent onto a quest with the explanation "It is where he should be".
