Dragkhin
Basic Information
Anatomy
Warm-blooded bipedal reptilian homonid with tail. Females are significantly larger than males. Skin/scale color and craniofacial structure is highly diverse based on the 10 distinct bloodlines.
Biological Traits
The Dragkhin species has two broad phenotypic divisions, with broad morphological diversity as regards to scale/skin color and facial/cranial structure divided by Desetloza.
Genetics and Reproduction
Dragkhin reproduce sexually and lay eggs. Females will clutch once every two years whether fertilized or not. A clutch of eggs is 2-4, have leathery shells, are oblong and are 10" by 6". Gestation period for eggs is roughly 6 months. Dragkhan eggs can produce either Dragkhan or Dragkhun. At the 3 month mark, the egg has developed sufficiently to determine what the offspring is. Dragkhan eggs have a 60% chance to be Dragkhan, and 40% chance to be Dragkhun, with the ratio for eggs laid by Dragkhun being the opposite. Legend has it that if a Dragkhin lays a single egg, it will mature into a Dravosh (dragon), portending the return of the Progenitors.

Carnivore, consumes plants for medicinal effects or flavoring only.

Social Structure
Strong extended family ties, with families keeping detailed lineages and maintaining strong filial loyalty to family. Culturally the Dragkhin species is organized into Desetloza, which each draw their lineage back to a specific legendary Dravosh primogenitor.
Uses, Products & Exploitation
Dragkhan scales can be used to make it easier to affect the source individual with magic. (Grants a blue die if used, consumed with use). Dragkhun skins can be used in Alchemy to make a potion that will perfectly physically mimic that individual.
Facial characteristics
Face and head are adorned with a variety of horns, crests, frills, and ridges dependent on Desetloza. The different Desetloza are all part of the same species although they are morphologically diverse. All Dragkhin have limited facial mobility, rather expressing emotions through involuntary color changing areas on their face and head.

Average Height
The Dragkhan are physically large and muscular, with males ranging from 6-7 feet tall and females ranging from 8-9 feet tall on average. The Dragkhun are significantly smaller and slighter, ranging from 3-4 feet tall for males and 4-5 feet tall for females.
Average Weight
Dragkhan typical weight range is 175 - 250 lbs for males and 250 - 325 lbs for females. Dragkhun males typically weigh 50-80 lbs and 90 - 120 lbs for females.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
Each Desetloza is composed of Dragkhin of a given lineage, descended from a particular Dravosh primogenitor. Cross-breeds are relatively rare, and tend to favor one parent over the other rather than blended expression, for example a a'Kherjan and a'Mghul cross-breed would either be red or blue, respectively, rather than purple. Although said cross-breed may inherit one set of features from one parent and another from the other, color from the red, facial structure from the blue, etc.
