Sakuya-Hime
One of the ancient elemental gods, the only female and the who controlled air and wind. She used her powers to pull a large mountaintop into the sky to create a floating island and upon that island she created the Tengu as her favored people. She and the tengu were the only ones who could reach the island so it became their sovereign nation where the tengu called her Princess Sakuya and there she ruled unopposed for more millennia than any other nation made by man or deity ever has.
When the First Epoch came and Nesidth descended upon the elemental gods to tear their throats with her fangs she came to Sakuya-Hime last and was given pause. Sakuya had seen the others fall and pleaded with Nesidth to spare her in exchange for servitude. Nesidth obliged, biting her neck gently to share in Sakuya's blood and power and binding her with an astral chain that world forevermore mark her as subservient in the new order. As such Sakuya-Hime's sigil must always be displayed below Nesidth's whenever the two appear together.
The Second Epoch came about when men tried to usurp the Empress of Gods and the flew to her Amethyst Castle on illusory wings granted by Sakuya-Hime. When she saw this betrayal Nesidth seized at the astral chain and heaved herself at Sakuya's airborne kingdom where she fed upon the old wind goddess & destroyed her and the powers keeping the city aloft. The floating city crashed in the cursed jungles of the southeast and the survivors who took flight joined with the cities of men where to this day the hold dreams of recovering the ancestral home.
