OondrrG'rog Dwarves.

OondrrG'rog Dwarves are direct decedents of Unkus OondrrG'rog "Emperor" and live in the mountain his kin established in the great first age of dwarves. They live traditional dawrven lives of labor, stone working, metal smithing and religeion. They are reconized as upstanding examples of dwarfdom by all other mountains. They are seen as the main the military strength of all dwarven kingdoms, and blessed as Gr'Rog's most favored children. Their history is proud and long within Cruul, and all races of dwarf can see their glorious past within the faces of the OondrrG'rog.   The OonDrr'grog are the wealthiest of all dwarven mountains, and by dwarven law that gives them authority over decisions that effect the entire dwarven race.

Basic Information

Anatomy

OondrrG'rog are built physically stronger than other races of dwarves, with barrel chests and strong stocky limbs. They have fire red beards and blue eyes that project joy and anger with an intensity rarely seen elsewhere. They are average dwarven height (3-4ft) and weigh more than their size would suggest.

Biological Traits

OondrrG'rog seem to be biologically inclined towards Lawful Goodness. They are muscular and wide with red beards and blue eyes. Their skin has a slight rust color to it that deepens when flustered or angered.

Genetics and Reproduction

OondrrG'rog Dwarves are strong and built to live long laborious lives as well as withstand battle. Like all Dwarves, most never reproduce or take a mate with only 1 out of 50 bearing offspring. For this reason, dwarves reproduce very slowly but live very long lives (700-1100 years.)

Growth Rate & Stages

Dwarves spend a considerably long time as juveniles (80 yrs) before maturing into adulthood. By that time they are expected to have amassed a large sum of wealth and have hollowed out their personal chamber in their home mountain.

Ecology and Habitats

OondrG'rogs live underground with a large community of their people. They hail from the land of Dhugrhoc where most dwarven kingdoms stand today.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Dwarves only enjoy meats, sweets and alcohol.

Biological Cycle

OondrrG'rog are expected to live laboriously their entire adult lives or join the military that hunts monsters and patrols the lands.

Additional Information

Social Structure

The OondrrG'rog's social structure remains the same as it did in the first age. The young are taught in schools by the women, while the adults work and wage battle on local evils. The law consists of endlessly long and complex dwarven rules and traditions while Clerics of Gr'Rog "God of the Underground" settle all legal disputes within the kingdom. When matters concern the entire dwarven race- the kings of the kingdoms gather in a large hall and discuss the available solutions with the richest mountain deciding on the outcome.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

OondrrG'rog are mostly found in Dhughroc and genuinely refuse to leave those lands. Most OondrrG'rog never stop working long enough to travel.

Average Intelligence

onndrrG'rog are the not the most intelligent dwarves, but they have average intelligence and a high wisdom. Their values and beliefs keep them mentally motivated and emotionally sturdy.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

When underground dwarves do not get lost and have a natural direction sense. Dwarves can appraise the worth of natural items of any rarity (75%) by simply inspecting it in their hands. Dwarves can see clearly in the darkest of dark.

Civilization and Culture

History

The OondrrG'rog have been part of Cruul since the Great Age of Dwarves. In the first dwarven age, OondrrG'rog was known as The OondrG'rog Empire. under the crown of Unkus OondrrG'rog "Emperor". They were the first people to experience war and the inventors of mining, metal smithing, song and alcohol. Their legacy is as proud and long as their beards. They respect hard work and dislike any individual who has no worship with the good gods. They maintain lawful families and raise strong children. More than any other mountain- they pride themselves on a need to continue the glorious traditions and ways of the OondrrG'rog people.

Throughout the ages.

First Dwarven Age (10,000 yrs) The first 100 dwarves emerged from the ground fully mature and able to speak the dwarves tongue. They were created by Gr'Rog "God of the Underground" in effort to cleanse the underground of magical beasts that were a perversion in the eyes of the good gods. The Dwarves spent the first 10,000 years building an Empire that spanned many mountains and waged battle on evil things. By the end of the first age, a brother mountain (The Druugrr) turned on the dwarven race and and thus began the first war of Cruul. Many died on all sides of the conflict with the Druugrr finally falling to the unified dwarven mountains. But the OoondrrG'rog Empire had fallen to the Druugrr, forever beginning a feud still going on today.   The Elven Feyan Age (30,000 yrs) After 1000 elves were born fully matured and speaking elven, the dwarves watched in disgust as they decided to spend almost all their time avoiding labour. When the time for diplomacy came, it was failed on by both sides- resulting in many wars between the two races called "The Dwelven Wars of Old". During these wars the elves invented magics to use as a weapon, causing even more hatred from the dwarves. Peace was reluctantly given to the elves (and victory to the dwarves) when the elves began to war amongst themselves in the The Fey'slayn War. During this age the dwarves mastered fighting against surface enemies for the first time, and fortified their kingdoms against such attacks again. It was at this time the OondrrG'rog produced the first rules for war against other races.   The Age of Harvest (1000 yrs). During the age of harvest the dwarves continued to labor and amass wealth in the name of their people and gods. Certain mountains desired to strike the elves again while they recovered from war, but the OondrrG'rog forbid it as dishonorable and weak. During this age the dwarves met the Farni-Folk and found them amusing and goodly, but weak and poor. The Farni-Folk offered the dwarves the skill of agriculture but the mountains unanimously laughed at the form of labor as useless and belonging on the surface- choosing to continue obtaining food with clerical spells and hunting as did their ancestors since their first age.   The Age of EverWinter (1000 yrs). During the first snow fall of Cruul, all clerical spells ceased to work across the lands. All races felt abandoned by the gods as the snow continued for 1000 years. Without clerical ability to create food, the dwarves entered into a great starvation that threatened to erase them from the face of Cruul forever. But through the snow the Halflings marched carrying supplies of food, medicine and alcohol to both the dwarves and the elves, saving them from a slow hungry death. By the 700th year of winter, the first undead came pouring from underground to attack the goodly races of Cruul. Legions of animated skeletons waged war on the dwarves, elves and Farni-Folk in endless waves of coordinated attack. By the 900th year, the dwarves retreated into their fortresses, taking the Farni-folk with them, and hid from the undead for almost 100 years. Eventually the dwarves and elves decided to join forces and attack the source of the undead armies. This effort became known as The Undead War of Izznn'Rot , and it saw the decapitation of the King of Drow King Hixxlrr and a heroic victory for the all good races of Cruul. This became a lasting peace between human and elf that is still respected to this day.   The First Age of Man (1000 yrs.) The first age of man saw the coming of the humans. Four fully matured humans were found by dwarf and elf in the presence of Laydi'wahni "The White Lady" . Of the four humans, the Dwarves found a liking for the one named Hamar and took him with them to OondrrG'rog. There they taught the human how to work metal, carve stone, drink alcohol and sing songs. Eventually Hamar left to create a civilization of his own while to dwarves wished him well. Also during this time, Giants were created by Greygor "Dead God of Valor/War" to help all good races in future wars. The dwarves disliked these creatures, seeing them as clumsy, too tall and unteachable when it came to crafting stone or metal (they also drank way too much dwarven ale).Over an intense argument, the giants were removed from Dhugrhoc and told to never return again.   The Age of Human vs J'oognn (1000 yrs) The second age of man provided proof that humans were a possible problem. The dwarves watched the humans build nations and kingdoms faster than any races before them, and with the help of the Giants, they were quickly becoming a threat to the surface races of Cruul. During this age, a mining dispute sparked the first war between human and dwarf, with the J'oognn Dwarves declaring war on the human lands of Vangash. After inspecting the details of the declaration, the Oondrr'G'rog found the J'oognn were practicing unscrupulous mining after signing deals with the humans. For this, the OondrrG'rog refused to bring the dwarven kingdoms to war, and forced the J'oognn to fight their own war as punishment. This lead to the humans (with the help of the giants) crushing the J'oognns and ransacking their treasure hoards as spoils of war. This caused a rift between OondrrG'rog and J'oognn till this very day.   The Age of the Giant Wars. At the dawn of the age, the giants grouped thier forces and efforts and declared war on all human kind out of jealousy and feeling of being underpaid. When refused half of the J'oognn treasury, the giants launched a full-scale assault on all kingdoms of man that shook the very ground. For 1000 years, human settlements were reduced to rubble and blood as the giants marched on them with mighty strides. Nearing the end of the age, the damage done to the human kingdoms was devastating. Almost all the monolithic structures created between the humans and giants had been smashed into the ground. Finally, when the giants surrounded Vangash , it seemed like all hope was lost for the humans. But, in an act of mercy and heroism, the OondrrG'rog gave order to all dwarves to enter the war. All the kingdoms of dwarves rushed into the chaos, including the J'oognn, as they destroyed the giant forces and suffering great casualties in the process. The dwarves and the humans made peace over shared victory, and both still celebrate that that victory with holiday and song till this very day.   The current Age (998 yrs.) The first days of the current age, the dwarves were awestruck by the destruction delivered to the -now fallen- Kingdom of Sahannd. The dwarves, already no fans of Osheena "Goddess of the Deep" , greatly feared her choice to wash away the human kingdom in one mighty flood. But before they had time to discuss this catastrophe- and endless rushing wave of black blooded armies attacked each Dwarven mountain. For 10 years the dwarves waged constant war at their front gates as the armies of M'Guglagoth "God of Monsters and Pain" continued to pour out from under the ground. The The B'lixnn Farg lasted for 10 years before calming to the state of today. Now the Oondrr'Gog still live traditional lives devoted to their Gods and way of life, but in a world where many races, some even dwarven, choose to question the wisdom and place of the Gods in the material realm. The OondrrG'rog will have no part in such disobedience towards the divine, and they await a new age ready for whatever may come.
