Saint Killian Karmaduke (KAR-MA-DOOK)

Saint Karmaduke was the first human to cast clerical spells in all of Cruul. He was the first Member of The Holy Order of White Light. the end of The First Age of Man. Karmaduke dedicated his life to The White Path of Light from very early age, never once straying from the teachings of the newly written White Book. He was a decorated warrior and a judge who walked the lands in search of evil.

His Youth.

Killian grew up as a young stable boy to the Hamar Family. Poor and without proper home guidance he began to visit the local Church of the White lady that was growing in size and strength ever day. By his teenage years he became a full time servant of the church and learned sword fighting from the local Greyorian knights who took a liking to him. By the age of 23 he had become a fully blessed Cleric of the White Faith and he devoted his life to judging evil in the name of his God.

His Crusades.

Killian spent many of his younger adult years seeking out evil with fellow Clerics and Greygorian Knights. By age 40 he had successfully returned from over 20 crusades into the Undrrdark, far off Wilderlands of the north and even in the fey forests of the Elves. He had seen Dragons, Unicorns, Undead and Demon-kind in his marvelous travels, and he fell many mythical beasts along the way. By age 60 he had become the head Cleric of Hamar's Church and by 64 he had been declared the Head Cleric of the entire religion.
By the beginning of the Second Age Of man, and at the age of 66 years old Killian embarked on a crusade to the far off lands of Skez with a trusted legion of Greygorian Knights, when he was confronted with Lizard-folk. These beasts were unknown and unbeheld to human eyes before. The horror that followed saw all but Saint Killian die in a demonic hallucination-laced nightmare as the last of the Greygorian Knights were torn apart and sacrificed to Hixx'lixxapis "Poison, Sickness and Disease" while Killian watched unable to stop it all. Killian finally escaped by casting bull's strength and snapping the chains he was shackled to, fleeing into the darkness of the swamps of Skez.

His return.

Killian took three years to find his way home from his failed crusade into Skez, and upon returning the people of Hamar celebrated his return. After learning of his clerical accomplishment of casting spells, the Church declared him a holy godsend and forever immortalized him as "The First Saint of The White Order". But Killian Karamaduk not the same man who left for Skez all those years ago. He was changed and forever broken mentally and physically. Whenever asked the details of the horrors he witnessed happen to the Greygorian Knights that never made it home- he would weep and howl like a madman.

His end.

Not long after his return, Killian Karmaduke started having nightmares of the fallen knights in hell screaming for him to save them. Madness set in in the following years, and by the age of 75 he was removed from his position as Head Cleric due to radical instability and mental illness. His disposition changed in such ways as to force his family to have him locked away like an animal as he became increasingly incoherent and insane. He finally died at the age of 89. His last recorded words were "You fucking fools, they took their souls! They still have their souls!"

The secret text of Karmaduk.

It is known that in his state of madness, Karmaduke wrote text for endless hours. The Holy Order of White Light. ordered these text forever seal away in the holy libraries of the Church in fear that the text could cause harm to the civilized world of humans if allowed to spread.
