Frostspire observatory

Ancient fortification erected by Salman Dravini in the hope it's walls would find the cure to the illness which plagues the Dravini name. Following an incident at the 5th Lirday of Rain 814 (about 210 days ago) the original inhabitants were pushed out by a combined force of Orcs, and Drow.

Purpose

In times before this isolated keep was staffed by the finest magical researchers and mages who dedicated their lives to researching the Dravini Curse. And a complete and loyal staff tended to Dravini sons and the researchers. But in recent days the keep has been taken over, first by an Orcish raiding force, and later by the Drow Cabal led by Mortris.

Current State

The Observatory was built by House Dravini in cooperation with the dwarven house which controls the mountain range (Lotgreal Whithand).
The building resembles a typical Spearan edge fort, but anyone who pays some attention can clearly recognize a dwarven hand. The fort features a single large tower leaning against the mountain, accompanied by two smaller towers cresting a small courtyard. A small but functional gatehouse sits opposite the central tower.
The Central Tower: Royal quarters, the private sanctum of the mages.
East Tower: Storeroom, and servant quarters.
West Tower: Barracks and armory
The fort still bears the marks of the Orkish assault, the various interior buildings are damaged, destroyed, or decayed. The interior stores and some of the non-core rooms are abandoned and don't seem used.

Original Staff

• A large group of Dwarven Defenders: 30 men strong, also function as cooks and maintenance.
• Dravini Guards: 10 men strong, also function as cooks and maintenance.
• Dravin guard, Merric Brightmoon, Halfling, turned into a frog.
• A group of Mages, 10 mages
• Servant staff: 10 dedicated staff, cleaners, stablehands, porters.
• Cornelius Filtz, leader of the mages, human, old, mysterious, disappeared.
• Kilia Norixi, mage apprentice under Cornelius, turned into a frog
• Total Staff: 60 men strong

Orcish attackers

• A 150 strong assault force aided by internal information, attack an unaware fort, led by "Warlord" Zar The Unsightly, and Eye of Kash.
• Attacked at the 5th Lirday of Rain 814
• Left the fort abandoned after making the place their home for a while (2 Cinques, 72 days.) while they continued looking for Deavyn.

• Prisoners: 2 dravini guards, 2 mages, 5 servants.
