Stanimir
Even at a relatively old age, Stanimir is still often found traveling amongst his troupe instead of sticking to the Yser Pools Vistani encampment. He is an interesting individual when watched closely. He often operates just outside the troupe, having a unique status due to his wisdom and age. He long since left the role of leader to his son Ratka, and tought his daughter Damia everything he knows about the art of stealth. But he is not someone to follow orders blindly, not even if they are given by Madam Eva. It is why, even after all these years, he still prefers the roads. He is a good storyteller, and still captivates his associates with them even after he told them many times. However, his stubbornness can sometimes get him in trouble with his son and daughter.
He is adapt at the use of magic. At a young age, he traveled the mists for a number of years. He enjoyed encovering secrets and reading about arcane shenanigans. His field of expertise is illusion magic, which he uses often when he tells his stories of his days of old. For a time in his youth, he traveled with two other Vistani through Barovia, setting up performances and games in the various towns. While popular, they were also mistrusted, as every time they appeared goods seemed to be stolen and the trinkets they sold were found to be not magical at all. Even so, they left some joy and entertainment in their wake in the normally very dreadful towns. During his travels to Vallaki, He met a beautiful woman named Venelore. While being a rather strong and independant woman, she was swooned by the charming gentleman. The relationship that followed caused much commotion in the town. She was forced to leave with the Vistani, but soon understood that she would never truly be one of them. She lived among them for various years, and bore two children: Ratka and Damia. Stanimir was good to her, but never stayed in one place for long. She raised the children amongst the Vistani until the age of 10 before she decided to travel to Vallaki on her own for a family visit. Stanimir was rather loud in his protest, but she didn't want an escort. Until today, he still blames himself for her unfortunate end.
