AoH Aegis
A medium AoH cruiser in service of the Voidwalker Project. She is the shipboard extension of Viola
Originally designed to decrease crew requirements, she was given an experimental AI that could control most of the ship via robotic remotes, bring her crew down to a mere 50 despite her size. On her maiden voyage, she was placed under the meteoric Captain Skybright, fresh from the Minuteman Debacle, and ordered to the Vertra Station. Due to supply shortages, she delayed launch for 8 hours. Enough to avoid the complete destruction of Vertra and it's attached fleet
Stuck behind enemy lines, the crew of the Aegis managed to dance around the fringes of one of the biggest pirate assaults of all time, eventually making it back to the Star in time to participate in the Battle of the Star and expose Admiral Mariwather as a traitor. The event now known as the Mariwather coup ended with a complete victory and the Aegis being celebrated
This was not to last though. As political realities settled in, the Admiralty decided to quietly bury the Mariwather Coup from the public consciousness, and Aegis ended up paying the price, being mothballed
When the AoH joined the Voidwalker Project, they remembered her record donated her in the hopes that she would make a good person. Instead, the shipboard AI became the Viola who still serves both the Project and the Alliance to this day

Propulsion
Standard AoH cruiser engines. Fast and maneuverable, with some minor capability to perform dogfighting moves
Weapons & Armament

Batteries spread evenly across vessel. No concentrated fire, but no blind spots either
- Main Battery: Heavy laser turrets
- Secondary Battery: Light laser cannons
- Tershary Battery: Heavy laser bubbles (fires continuous beam, short fire time, long cooldown, smaller than turrets)

Two AoH shields (one primary, one redundant)
Point Defense bubbles lining the entire surface for maximum coverage
Weak armor leaves her vulnerable if shields go down
