The Feywild

Cynos Abound with Life

The Feywild is a Quasi-Material Plane of Existence that exists parallel to Cynos. It came into being in the same moment as did the planet, and neither Ashra nor Boda holds any dominion over it. Both the Feywild and its counterpart the Shadowfell are amalgams of the Material Cynos and the Positive and Negative Energy Planes, respectively.

The Abundance of Life

As a byproduct of the Positive Energy Plane, the Feywild exists as a presentation of Cynos mixed with Life in its maximal form. The result is a Plane where the natural life found on Cynos has been amplified a dozen fold. Vegetation grows rampantly, covering the landscape with bright and lush colours, and sentient beings like animals and even humanoids are infused with supernatural properties brought on by the increased potency of Magic in this Plane.

Geography and Effects

The Feywild exists parallel to the Material Plane, so most things found on Cynos can also be found there. This includes non-natural structures like monuments and cities, although their mirrors in the Feywild are often overtaken by flora, sometimes to the point that they are unrecognizable. The arcane energy gifted to Cynos by Boda is also elevated here, granting magical traits to beings that live here and even transforming them over time.

Inhabitants

As aforementioned, the abundance of both Life and magic in the Feywild gave rise to powerful beings that, while still mortal, enjoyed long lives and supernatural talents. Beings native to this Plane are called fey and come in many different forms, some more civilized than others. They most well-known of them are the eladrin, mystical humanoids thought to be the ancestors of Cynosian elves, but the fey also include sprites, faeries, hags, satyr, boggles and even fomorians, proving that magic-based evolution does not always go in the mortals' favour.
