Closed Eyes and Gibbering Mouths

General Summary

After dispatching the undead owlbears, the party went back to the main hall. After some discussion, they decided to explore the north room before continuing down the open hallways to the East.
They entered a similar hallway and slowly opened the second set of double doors. Another altar with an effigy to a Wyvern was set up in the northeast corner of the room with a Kobold Sorcerer actively engaged in some ritual magic. 8 kobolds were laying about piles of cloth and leather scraps in makeshift bed mounds. When the party entered, they were immediately noticed by the sorcerer who screamed a warning to the others.

Combat

The party engaged the sorcerer and kobolds, however, the sorcerer was able to switch a secret lever, opening a hidden door on the west wall. Two gibbering mouthers emerged from the hall and began to crawl toward the party members.
Various party members succumbed to the inane babble of the gibbering mouthers throughout the fight, rendering them incapacitated. In the case of Auxi Sae , he was at one point driven to madness to strike out against a nearby Heiron Nymus . Maitar Stewar was forced to flee before shaking the confusion and was able to rejoin the fight.
While the party was swiftly dispatching the kobolds, Martiri  , Heiron Nymus , and Auxi Sae engaged the gibbering mouthers in melee while Yendor De'sic and Imra  combated them from a distance.
Unfortunately, the aberrations were able to overtake Martiri  and Auxi Sae , incapacitating them before the party was able to drag them off their allies. Auxi Sae was stabalized with a potion of healing by Yendor De'sic , but the stresses of the day's battles prooved too much for Martiri   and she succumbed to her wounds.

Retreat

The party quickly gathered Martiri  up, and Isla Heron , acting upon Martiri's wish to burn the whole place down, turned to set the room ablaze during the retreat. They retreated from Cuvella Creek Grotto and made their to way to the encampment established by The Gold Roses. Thankfully, knowing the dangers they faced, The Gold Roses sent a clergyman to assist at the camp.
Gathering under a makeshift covering to fend off the rain, Martiri's body was placed in the center of the space. The clergyman sat near her head, explaining to the party that they would need to offer assistance in the ritual to coax her spirit back to her body. Auxi Sae provided a performance of song, reciting the glorious battles of Martiri. Maitar Stewar also spoke, but spoke directly to The Gatekeepers , requesting her soul be returned from Nometathra to complete its business on Cyorion. Yendor De'sic prayed to an idol he carried with him for Martiri's return.
The group fell silent as her body glowed, and the light receded. After a moment, Martiri opened her eyes and gasped.
