Coblings
Humanoids descended from Coblynau mating with Giants. Coblynau lived in caves and underground dwellings in both the Etherworld and Abred (with caves possessing many natural portals leading to an easy transition between realms), and due to their smallish stature, were not seen as a threat to the Dustborn. The Giants are considered extinct now, with the Coblings being their closest successor. From the Coblynau, the Cobling inherited the ability to see in the dark, a magical attunement with rocks and gems, and a slight sensitivity to the sun. From the Giants, they inherited a stocky and taller-than-average build, incredible strength, and the ability to cast protective/warding cantrips.
Coblings are identified by their slate-grey eyes and strange red birthmarks. Some claim to be able to speak to stones. They have crafted a unique Speaking Stone, which, when cleaved in two, allows two people to communicate over great distances through the rock's fissure.
They are mostly found in Oergwen, where the skull of Cython forms their ancestral caves. Their main stronghold and city, Crogof, is located deep below the ground in the caverns of the Teeth.
