About
Appearance
Aechor stands at 10 feet tall, just above average for a Daiten. He is a dark forest green with thorn-like markings of blueish black and metallic gold. He is broad and well-muscled, though over the years those muscles have softened from a lack of intense combat and training. He tends to dress in clothes which do not restrict his range of motion, in shades of black, white, gold, and blues. The clothing appears regal–or at least ceremonial–when practicality is not absolutely demanded. He always carries his sword, Ambrose, at his hip, a gift from Esthur and the last remnant of his time fighting for Heaven.
Personality
During his time as a soldier of Lord Qi, Aechor was headstrong with a good heart. He devoted everything within himself to his cause, and loved those around him with abandon. Though he was quick to anger, he was also quick to forgive when reason was given. While wandering the world, a loneliness settled over him which stifled this emotional freedom. He became more withdrawn, sadder and quieter, slower in his movements, as he wandered. But through his friendships with humans, over the years he emerged somewhat from this mental state, and into a renewed state of happiness. He gained a great respect for the quiet and for the beauty of the world, and remained quieter than in his time as a soldier, but now he regained his joy and open laughter.
Story
As a paladin of Lord Qi, Aechor fought bravely in the war against the Agma. His dedication to the cause was absolute, but perhaps even stronger than that was his bond to those he fought alongside; he considered these brave Daitens to be his siblings. Among the relationships that had the largest impact upon him during this period of his life was the one he held with fellow soldier Esthur, who taught him how to fight with a unique combination of magic and martial skill.Upon the fall of Heaven, Aechor and his comrades were engaged in battle. As the Heavens came crashing down around them, Aechor found himself separated from his makeshift family, now on the surface of the earth and utterly alone. He wandered for decades, at first convinced he would find those he knew, but it never came to pass. Not only was he unable to locate his companions; no Daitens were anywhere to be found.
Aechor found solace in the civilizations of humanity through which he traveled. He grew quite fond of these small creatures, and made friendships with them. Occasionally, he would find himself settling down in some city or other for several years before one day deciding to move on. In this way, Aechor passed a thousand years, until finally, he came across other Daitens once more, and a cause which beckoned him to put his martial skills to use once more.
Relationships
History
Esthur and Aechor fought together in the war against the Agma. They were incredibly close, Esthur teaching Aechor all he knew of battle strategy and the use of magic in combination with traditional combat. Aechor looked up to Esthur, and was heartbroken when they became separated after the war. They think each other dead.
