Runeplayer
The Runeplayer - a Magitech device - is a magical instrument that loops tunes of chained-together Illusion magic, using the Runic language to describe notes. The instrument is incredibly time-consuming to master, not even mentioning the arcane mastery one needs to properly play something on it.
These darn noble kids and their magical music, back in my days we had to have talent for music and play actual instruments. It's most often only bought by the wealthiest of the wealthy who pay a Wizard to set up their favorite tunes to play during the day.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
Experts of Runemakers usually make 24 hour mixes with the last 8 hours consisting of silence with the exception of a single note at the end - that is usually the first note of the beginning song.

Significance
It's used during royal balls and sometimes even in homes (of the richest Nobles) as a background music device. The instruments strength is that it never gets tired unlike Bards.
Some alternatives to the Runeplayer are a band of Constructs, or a band of Sentient Instruments.
