Steelfort (stiːlfɔːt)
Steelfort is built around a smaller chasm (with lava down below), that has lots of ores and white-ish stones and treasures poking out of its sides. It's a town mostly known for its smithies and Mining and Processing facilities. The town itself is in a staircase-like layout, where you have to move uphill or downhill between districts.
Government
The government is pretty standard.
Districts
The districts from the entrance (lowest point) towards the highest point, each district can be imagined like one large stair step, with a ravine-like scar in carving out the middle.
The Forges - the lowest point and closest to the lava, the forges district is as its name suggests the industrial district of Steelfort.
The First Step - markets, taverns, and general-purpose buildings mixed with homes.
Living District - houses of commonfolk and nobles alike
The Last Step - the palace and the entrance into the vast mining complexes. This is technically the last district, but some consider the mines to be their own district too.
Guilds and Factions
History
The chasm is believed to have opened during the shattering, but it was only discovered later. Saying goes that the Dwarf settlers have seen the Silver and Iron poking out of the side of the scar and had instantly decided to settle here.
The settlement was taken over by Gau Dwarovar during The First Hunt, ending the existence of Elkinhold. This is the town where the last Manvars were executed.
Points of interest
The Forges of Scoria are often visited by those interested in Blood Crystal smithing.
